First Examination step

The Primary School Curriculum presents a vision of education, which is expressed in three general aims:

  • To enable the child to live a full life as a child, and to realise his or her potential as a unique individual.
  • To enable the child to develop as a social being through living and cooperating with
    others and so contribute to the good of society.
  • To prepare the child for further education and lifelong learning.

EYFS

Primary education, is typically the first stage of formal education, coming after preschool and before secondary school. (The first year of primary school, reception, is part of the Early Year Foundation Stage (EYFS). Primary education takes place in primary school, the elementary school or first and middle school depending on the location.​

Areas of primary curriculum

The compulsory primary curriculum subjects are divided into the following areas:

Moral education (religion and ethics) (the pupil’s parents (guardians) select one of these subjects – ethics or the traditional religion of the community)
Languages (Lithuanian, the native language of the ethnic group, and a foreign language)

(the pupil’s parents (guardians) select one of the European languages suggested by the school – English, German or French)
Mathematics
Social and natural sciences (perceptions of the world)
Arts education (music; arts and technologies)
Physical education
Education for the deaf and hard of hearing.

ICT lab

Information & Communication Technology (ICT) is a valuable tool to enhance the learning experience and accessing resources. AIS invested heavily on ICT in order to easily deliver medical education at a higher quality and acceptable standards to the kids of primary school.
